NxT- Steal a Moment

I'm actually pretty proud of this one! This is the first deviation I've done in quite some time where I've colored it digitally and took time to get all the shadows detailed and accurate and spent so long on the background. I used a reference picture too on Neji and TenTen (link at the bottom of description) to make sure it's more anatomically correct than usual.

Here we have an (older!) Neji and TenTen taking some time out of training to, um, socialize. They're just barely in the woods near Konoha, and that walled-in area on the right of the village is supposed to be the Hyuuga compound. The story that came to mind when doing this is that Neji has been named the Hyuuga heir and has a lot of responsibility placed on his shoulders. TenTen is there for him more than ever and he soon realizes that the feelings he's had for her are more than just those toward a teammate. She loves him too, and they confess their feelings, but because of Neji's new leadership position and TenTen's status as a common jounin of no special clan, the Hyuuga elders prohibit their relationship. Neji and TenTen are then forced to meet in secret, usually under the ruse of training as a team... training that Gai and Lee wind up missing... As time goes on, Neji finally decides he's had enough: he demands that the elders approve his and TenTen's relationship, or he will step down from his position. Because Hanabi refuses to step in (she wants to fully focus on her ninja career without worrying about clan business) and Hinata, while stronger than when she was younger, still doesn't have the qualities necessary in a clan head, and there are no other eligible young Hyuuga, the elders are forced to heed Neji's request.
