How long have you been on DeviantArt? Since November 2008, so going on seven years!
What does your username mean? Incorporates part of my name, a reference to a famous movie, and a very imporant year (to me, at least) into one!
Describe yourself in three words. Daydreamer. Trusting. Ravenclaw.
Are you left or right handed? Right
What was your first deviation? A very sad Hinata Hyuga with the lyrics to "Nobody's Home" by Avril Lavigne, drawn with Crayola markers, mostly in Algebra II.
What is your favourite type of art to create? Anything that comes out the way I picture it in my head, haha. But actually, I guess traditional sketches. I'm never as interested in the coloring part of drawing.
If you could instantly master a different art style, what would it be? Like shiniez. He so easily does accurate lighting, and anatomy, and expressions, and, just, like, everything! Or at least he makes it seem easy, which is just as hard.
What was your first favourite? Something by E-Vay, almost certainly either Twlight or Naruto
What type of art do you tend to favourite the most? Fanart. All the freaking fanart. Especially Naruto and A:tLA (and especially-especially Korrasami <3)
Who is your all-time favourite deviant artist? Oooooh, good question... Julvett and Nami64 and Fey-Raven and Viria13 and Shiniez and Neodusk and... well, basically, I like a lot.
If you could meet anyone on DeviantArt in person, who would it be? Probably Neodusk. If his comics are any indicator, he'd be really fun to hand out with.
How has a fellow deviant impacted your life? Although it was really the series Naruto that inspired 14 year-old me to take drawing more seriously, it was discovering E-Vay's art that made me realize how cool it is to make up your own style. Plus I went gaga over her Naruto Next Generation characters, which spurred me to make my own, and that was a ton of creative juices I got flowing. Oh, and after finding her I actually made a deviantArt account. So that's kind of important too.
What are your preferred tools to create art? Pencil and paper for initial drawing, and then I usually finish them up with a Wacom tablet. Or Prismacolor markers/colored pencils if I'm in the mood.
What is the most inspirational place for you to create art? Anywhere quiet and comfy.
What is your favourite DeviantArt memory? When a drawing I did of NaruHina in the rain got a butt-ton of faves in a really short amount of time (don't remember specific numbers anymore). I was just so taken aback because usually my drawings got(/get) just a few favorites in the first hour or so, assuming they're of a popular subject or featured in a group, and suddenly I was like "Woah... people think I'm good!"
Just thought I would give a little update on things, since I've been so inactive on here lately. Also, the previous journal entry was over a year old and I felt obligated to change that.
Anyway, I'm going to be uploading a new drawing (an Avatar-related comic, to be precise!) within a day or two, provided my tablet holds out. I've had the same Wacom tablet for about five years and it's finally wearing out. I thought it was completely busted until a day ago, at which point it spontaneously started working again. Not sure why, but no complaints! And now that NaNoWrimo and my Quarter from Hell are over (never again will I take bio, calc, and chem simultaneously!!!) I'll hopefully have more time to draw.
I've also entered a new fandom or few recently, so there maaaay be some Ouran or Attack on Titan fanart coming out of me in the near future. But now it's getting late, so I bid you all good night and happy holidays!
